Latisha A. Mire

Latisha is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.  She is a 21 year veteran in the Financial Investigations Department (FID) at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana (BCBSLA) and is currently the Director.

The FID is charged with combating all types of fraud, waste, and abuse against the Company and its assets.  She is an Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and is a graduate of both the Basic and Advanced Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation courses.  She is also a graduate of first Baton Rouge Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizens’ Academy in 2006 and served as Vice President of the chapter.  Latisha has served as Treasurer of the Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI) since 2011.

In additional to their internal and external investigative responsibilities, the FID annually conducts a comprehensive risk assessment process that is inclusive of the Company’s many areas of risk.  Latisha leads this charge and has instituted many pre and post pay edits as well as numerous “fraud trigger” reports.  Fraud, waste and abuse detection methods have significantly improved due to a collaborative effort between the FID and Enterprise Information Management (EIM) teams.  The EIM team has created numerous dashboards, which has helped to decrease the risk to the company and demonstrate a positive financial impact.  Latisha possesses advanced knowledge of claims processing systems, data extraction, performing analytics and facilitating enhanced edits and triggers.
